| Membership and
partnership is open to U.S., Canadian and Serbian corporations,
other Canadian, US and Serbian entities and U.S., Canadian
and Serbian business persons from all economic sectors, who
are committed to the development of Canadian, U.S. and Serbian
trade and investment.
In this regard, it is expected of
members and partners that they will demonstrate active involvement
in the precise definition of individual interests and project
capacities, and the provision of high-quality corporate and
project presentations.
Criteria for companies
The applicant for membership of the
North America Serbia Business Forum must be entirely in compliance
with the Statute, Mission, Objectives and Ethical Codex of
the NASBF and:
1. the company may be registered in
the Republic of Serbia, Canada or the USA,
2. the company may owned by citizens of the Republic of Serbia,
the USA or Canada, regardless of the registered headquarters
of the company,
3. the company, as regards its founders and owners may be
a public, socially-owned or state-owned company,
4. the company may be international, present on one of the
key international stock markets,
5. the company may be international, with business activities
registered in the Republic of Serbia, and which does business
with clients from Serbia, the USA and Canada.
A company registered in the Republic
of Serbia must also:
6. present active proof of their representative
or distribution arrangement with a Canadian or US company,
7. demonstrate current and predictable business relations
in the sectors of trade and/or investment ties with business
entities from Canada and the USA
8. have a local business reputation and independence from
political parties and groups.
Criteria for non-governmental organisations
1. NGOs must demonstrate an irrefutable connection with organizations
oriented towards offering international aid and assistance
to the Republic of Serbia from the territory of the USA or
Canada.
2. The core activities of the NGO must be connected with
the promotion and stimulation of economic development, reform
and support for the commercial activities of companies from
Serbia.
3. The NGO must demonstrate independence from political groups
and parties in the Republic of Serbia or outside it.
Criteria for partner associations
1. Partner associations and affiliates may be business associations,
chambers of commerce, clubs, development agencies and/or
agencies promoting investment and trade capacities, independent
or connected with government bodies.
2. The partner association or affiliate may also be a high-level
educational, cultural or scientific research institution,
regardless of the legal status of the founder and/or owner.
Criteria for honorary members
Honorary membership may be entered into by individuals accepting
an invitation from the Executive Board of the NASBF to become
honorary members of the Association and who by their reputation,
work and achievements in relation to the NASBF and the promotion
of its objectives, justify such an invitation.
