Introduction
Based on the view that the establishment of business connections and cooperation
need not be a goal in itself, the NASBF is firmly committed
to offering assistance to those who most need it. The NASBF
will identify those institutions who need this form of assistance
and will, in accordance with its financial and organizational
capacities, seek to support the selected institutions with
the provision of appropriate donations.
The NASBF will seek to establish a
minimum once-yearly large-scale event intended to raise significant
funds, as well as to consider and use opportunities to join
in and/or organize smaller-scale donation activities on an
ad hoc basis.
In the light of the NASBF mission
and the fact that involvement in providing donations is not
part of the basic orientation of the Business Forum, it must
be emphasized that such involvement must be regarded as secondary
only with regard to the relatively modest capacities available
for it, but not with regard to the positive attitude behind
it.
By decision of the NASBF Executive
Board, this Donation Policy came into force on the 12/26/2006.
1. Categories of donation recipient
1.1.
Recipients of donations are legal entities.
1.2.
Recipients of donations should be in the category of institutions
providing accommodation and care for children, handicapped
persons or scientific research, health and cultural institutions.
1.3.
In exceptional cases, the NASBF may participate directly,
using its own resources, or indirectly, in the motivating
of its members, in humanitarian campaigns oriented towards
individuals.
2. Selection of donation recipients
2.1.
All members of the Business Forum, as well as partner organizations,
are invited to tender their suggestions for donation recipients.
Suggestions should be submitted to the Chairman of the
Donations Board.
Considering the organizational capacities
of the NASBF, suggestions regarding beneficiaries and types
of donation will be taken into consideration only if they
are received from members and partner associations.
2.2.
The Executive Board of the NASBF, in cooperation with the
Donations Board, will make the selection of donation recipients.
The NASBF reserves discretionary rights of selection, with
no obligation to justify its decision.
2.3.
Once the decision is taken, the president of the Donations
Board will inform the donation recipient of the decision
and other relevant details.
3. Donation approval procedure
3.1.
The NASBF Donations Board is responsible for proposing donations
and for monitoring their implementation. Upon analysis
of the costs for the implementation of the donation and
of requests for possible involvement of other subjects
or official authorities, bodies or institutions, the Donations
Board will deliver a report to the Executive Board with
a detailed plan of implementation for the individual donation.
3.2.
The NASBF takes full responsibility for monitoring the award
of the donation and takes full moral and material responsibility
during the implementation of the donation.
3.3.
In the course of implementation of a donation in cooperation
with one or more participants or donors, the NASBF shall,
if it is the proposer or chief organizer, supply a complete
organizational and financial plan to the other participants,
as well as require full reciprocity in this regard, as
a prerequisite any participation.
3.4.
In the event of a donation being made which entails particular
works being carried out, the NASBF takes responsibility
for procuring the works required by the donation in accordance
with the law, and for handover to the end user.
3.5.
The NASBF may place conditions on the award of the donation
by way of a contractual obligation on the end user to care
for the awarded resources in an appropriate and acceptable
manner.
4. Transitional and final provisions
4.1.
The NASBF shall respect requests for anonymity by individual
donors or donation participants.
4.2.
Amendments and additions to this Donation Policy are made
in the same way and according to the same procedure as
that used in its making, by decision of the Executive Board.
4.3.
This donation Policy comes into force the day after its approval
by the Executive Board of the NASBF. |
